ST MARY’S WOOLTON - CHILDREN’S LITURGY

Our children’s liturgy group is thriving at St Mary’s, not only do we have lots of children joining us each Sunday to celebrate the liturgy together we also have and active online liturgy group and many families are involved in our wider parish community. So come along and see what you are missing . 

We celebrate children’s liturgy together every Sunday during 11 am mass. This is led by our team of catechists providing age appropriate versions of today’s gospel message and a range of crafts and puzzles. We also include our online stmaryswithyoualways facebook group sharing our key messages and events.

Our babies and pre-school children also come together for a separate parent/carer led liturgy during 11 am mass. 

We also hold seasonal events including family masses, our Christingle and Advent trails and Children’s stations of the cross, keeping our children at the heart of our celebrations. 

Our children’s liturgy group also host our tea and coffee after our Sunday mass which is well attended by our wider parish community and is a fantastic welcome for new parishioners. The children love to help serving and washing up afterwards - all supervised by their parents of course. 

They are also strong supporters of our second Saturday socials - bringing food to share and challenging people to play their favourite board games - from 6.30 on the second Saturday.

 The group continue to contribute to our parish commitment to Live simply and in solidarity with others. We organise our twice yearly nearly new fashion show raising money for charity and encouraging reuse and recycling of pre-loved items. We also look for opportunities to use our outdoor spaces for our liturgy - not just in summer - to appreciate the gift of nature.
