In the Easter newsletter we invited our children and young people to write letters and cards for those people in our community who live in social isolation. Below you will find a 'thank you' email from Dr Kuruvilla on behalf of Woolton Community Life.
Very well done to all of our children and young people who responded to this wonderful initiative. If other children and young people would like to get involved, there is still time to write letters/cards draw pictures etc. and post them through Catherine Higgins Law, 45 Allerton Road, Woolton Village and Woolton Community Life. will ensure they are delivered to our residents who are socially isolated.

Huge thanks, to all of you, for the fantastic response we had from the young residents of Woolton following this initiative!
Within hours of sending the appeal to all the Churches, we had 19 letters delivered from young people. These reached the recipients within 24 hours , thanks to Sally, one of our Trustees. I can assure you that this brought so much joy and encouragement to those received. I rang several of our Beneficiaries, yesterday and they were so touched by the kindness of the young people in our Community. Surely, during these 'dark times,' we can still see a ray of hope in humanity and human kindness that was shown.
One lady who received a card read it out to me (on the phone) and it goes like this;
'We laugh, we cry
We smile and we sigh,
We skip and we trip
But we always have courage & strength to carry us through,
We are not people of fear, we are people of courage,
We are people who protect our own safety,
We are people who protect our neighbour's safety,
We are not people of greed, we are people of generosity,
We are your people, God,
Giving & loving, wherever we are and whatever it cost,
For as long as it takes, wherever you call us!
with love and best wishes'.

I think it is so beautiful, encouraging and humbling. It gives us all hope in humanity, especially coming from a young person.
We are continuing to receive more of these letters, cards and will make sure that they are passed on.
