WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:

Falls on the penultimate Sunday in October every year and will be celebrated on Sunday October 18 2026 marking its 100th Anniversary. It is the one Sunday in the year when the Mass is celebrated exclusively for Missionary activity. Donations are collected and go, in their entirety, to support churches, hospitals, schools and vocations in countries where the Church is new, young or poor. Missio is responsible for coordinating World Mission Sunday and works through local bishops, churches and missionary congregations to ensure that resources are distributed equitably and justly on the basis of need.

There will be a retiring collection after Mass today. For more information and to donate online see What is World Mission Sunday? - Missio

LIVESIMPLY

We aim to live more simply, sustainably and in solidarity with others.

October is Walk to School Month

Do you usually drive your children to school?

Is walking a possibility?

Can you join with a few other parents and take turns to walk with a group of children?

Fewer car journeys helps to reduce pollution, helps the climate and helps children make healthy choices as they grow older. Try it once or twice and see if you can build it into your routine.

THANK YOU! - FAIRTRADE WINE TASTING

Profits and donations from the Fairtrade wine tasting on 26 September have been combined with donations made at the plant giveaways on 5-6 September and a total of £260 has been donated to Friends of the Holy Land. They work in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza, Jordan and Israel, providing immediate relief and long-term practical support, particularly (but not exclusively) to the Christian communities there.

NEARLY NEW FASHION SHOW:

Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to our latest nearly new fashion show. We have raised £771 so far for CAFOD and the South Liverpool food bank and a great time was had by all. We couldn’t do it without your generous donations, our fantastic models and helpers and everyone who comes along on the day and digs deep. Absolutely everything donated finds a new home. We have made clothing donations to Barnardo’s and Asylum Link and will be taking warm coats to the Irenaeus project. It’s still not too late to donate and add to the total.
