PARISHES LIVING OUT THEIR FAITH WITH CAFOD

This summer, many parishes and individuals here in the Archdiocese of Liverpool have responded to CAFOD’s call to highlight unjust national debt by signing their petition.

Many of the world's poorest countries are in a debt crisis, forced to pay ever higher interest rates to wealthy lenders, using money that could otherwise be spent on healthcare, education, and coping with the climate crisis. Often, they’ve paid their original debt several times over but are trapped in a spiral of debt that can't be cleared due to the interest.

Thank you to all who have added your voice to this call for fairness.

KINGDOM OVER NATION RESOURCES

Kingdom over Nation is a new ecumenical resource developed through Churches Together in England (CTE) to help churches engage thoughtfully and prayerfully with the rise in Christian nationalism and the growing challenges surrounding identity, discipleship, and public life. Through eight Bible studies and theological reflections, the resource explores discernment, empire, ideology, justice, nationhood, and Christian witness in a divided age.
