CELEBRATING ALTAR SERVERS ACROSS THE ARCHDIOCESE
There has been plenty to celebrate in the altar serving ministry at parishes across the archdiocese, with new servers coming forward and existing servers reaching important milestones.
At Christ the King Church, Wavertree, a record number of children have come forward to become altar servers following their First Holy Communion in May. Ten children who received the sacrament at Christ the King and Our Lady’s have received permission from their parents to begin serving seven have already begun serving at Sunday Mass.
Meanwhile, at St Dominic’s, two long-serving altar servers have reached a special milestone. Michael and David have faithfully served at the parish for the past three years. At the 11am Mass on Sunday 9 August, Fr Ealey enrolled them into the Guild of St Stephen
Similarly, in the parish of St Luke the Evangelist, Whiston, Michael, Jayden and Ashwin also hit this important milestone, receiving their Guild medals and thanks for their commitment, dignity in service, and the example they give to the community.
Congratulations to the new members of the Guild of St Stephen, and to all the new altar servers beginning their ministry!
