A FOND FAREWELL:

It is difficult to find the words to express my immense gratitude to the parishioners of St Mary’s for the extraordinary lengths you went to in order that my final weekend in the parish would be so memorable. It was an emotional time for me, but I will always treasure the memory of the gracious words spoken, the song written and the remarkably generous gifts I received. I appreciate that it was a team effort and that made it all the more special. May I also thank all of you who individually gave me cards and presents or greeted me in conversation over the weekend, including the cards from the children who attended Little Church. I count the last fourteen years as a bonus from the Lord because they have greatly enriched my life.
