A day of Fasting and abstinence


Masses at Bishop Eton and St Mary's

 Bishop Eton St. Mary's 
 Mass   7.00am, noon and 7.30pm  noon and 7pm

 

The 7.30pm Mass at Bishop Eton will contain the Novena Prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour.

Ash Wednesday - witness to nuclear war preparations.

A  City centre event organised by Pax Christi 12 noon to 1.30pm at St Luke’s Berry St. For more information contact Jan

All are welcome at this monthly prayer gathering.  Ashes will be distributed

ST PETER’S WOOLTON LENT COURSE:

At 8pm in the Centenary Rooms. The course will be based about Hebrews 12 and will include worship, input, prayer and discussion.

LENT LUNCH at St Barnabas  - Noon

On Tuesdays during Lent,(March 12th,19th,26th, and April 2nd,9th) from 12 noon the Ladies from WINGS (Women in God’s Service) will be serving a Lunch of Homemade Soup and Bread. A reasonable donation will be acceptable. All monies being donated to the Whitechapel Centre for the Homeless. Do come and join us for a bowl of soup and help us raise money for this worthy cause.

Walking in the footsteps of the Saints in the Gibberd Room at the Cathedral from 7 pm to 8 pm

Five reflections on practical ways to deepen our Spiritual Life.

Tonight's focus is on St Therese of Lisieux and St Teresa of Avila

Lectio Divina  at Our Lady of the Assumption Gateace are 1.30pm and  7pm

"Divine Reading". Lectio-read. Divina-divine. Praying the scripture as the living Word of God for our lives today. If you are ever confused about the readings at Mass then this is for you! The session will help people focus on one of the readings for the next Sunday’s Mass.

ECUMENICAL LENTEN PRAYER GROUP  at Elm Hall Drive 7-8.30pm

An opportunity to deepen your relationship with God, to explore new ways of praying, and to share on your prayer over the previous week in a confidential small group using resources on the Jesuit spirituality website: www.pathwaystogod.org .

Many resources are offered including daily prayer material by email.  You may use the resources for daily prayer without coming to the group.

Subsequent meetings on March  20th, 27th  April 3rd, 10th, and 17th
