Stations of the Cross

The church will be open on Saturday 3rd March at 11am for anyone wishing to make a personal stations of the cross. In addition Our Lady of the Assumption in Gateacre is holding stations on the cross each Friday in Lent at 11.30.

Readers Session at Our Lady's Gateacre

Fr Charles Randall  will be leading a ses-sion for all readers on Saturday 3rd March 9.30am to 11.30am in the Romero Room at Our Lady of the Assumption in Gateacre. This is for all existing readers and all those who have come on board in recent times. Fr Charles will explore the importance of the ministry as well as give plenty of practical support. This is open to all in the Pastoral Area

Upcoming RYM events

Reflection at the foot of the cross 20.3.18

Join us for the third of our Lenten themed RYM sessions. Our last session before Easter will be a short candlelit reflection at the foot of the cross. It will take place in Bishop Eton church.

Afterwards, we will go for a meal and drinks at the newly refurbished Childwall Abbey!

RYM Fundraiser for 'Chrismtas meal' for those who will spend Christmas alone. 20.4.18

St Mary's , Bishop Eton, St Peter's and St James in collaboration with Woolton Community Life are hosting a meal on Christmas Day for people in the local community who will spend Christmas Day alone. 

We are holding a fundraising event in St Mary's Hall on Friday 20th April, 7pm onwards!

The cost of tickets will be £10 per adult and £8 for children. The price will include musical entertainment from Benchmark and a hot meal and dessert.

There will be lots of exciting raffle prizes including an Everton shirt signed by Wayne Rooney. More details of prizes will follow. 

Tickets for this event will be available from St Mary's and Bishop Eton, Woolton Community life.

Youth Retreat late June 2018

We're planning a young adult retreat there in summer and I would HIGHLY recommend it! We'll be organising it and giving more information over the coming weeks, but in case you want to put it in your diaries now, it'll be Fri 29th June - Sun 1st July. THE ORCHARD RESIDENTIAL HOME: on Woolton Road, L25 7UL is home to 27 disabled adults and is part of the Leonard Cheshire Disability Charity. They are looking for volunteers to support their clients in the social aspects of their lives; it could be anything from spending an hour a week having a chat over a cuppa or to going along and helping staff to support a group out on a social trip. They are looking for everything from befrienders to drivers, the list is endless!
