Pax Christi Peace Sunday 14 January.

There will be no retiring collection but there are gift aid envelopes available in the porch for anybody wishing to contribute. “The work of Pax Christi is based on the gospel and inspired by faith. Our  vision is of a world where people can live in peace, without fear of violence in all forms. Rooted in the Catholic Christianity, we work with all who share our values to abolish war and create communities of peace and justice”.

The theme for Peace Sunday 2018 is Migrants and Refugees – seekers of peace

Prayer in preparation for Eucharistic Congress

In September 2018 a Eucharistic Congress will be held in Liverpool. In preparation for this we are being asked to pray a special prayer - which will be available in all our churches. Metropolitan Cathedral book club

The date for the next meeting of the Cathedral Book Club will be on Thursday 8 February 2018 at 7.00pm when "How to Stop Time" by Matt Haig will be discussed. We look forward to seeing you there. All welcome.

Training for leaders of Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Saturday, 17 February, 10.00am-12.30pm at LACE. The main focus will be different ways of opening up the Gospel and exploring all the different liturgical elements and ways of engaging the children. Initial Training of Funeral Ministers will take place on Wednesday, 21 and Thursday, 22 February, 9.30am- 4.00pm at LACE. Participants need to attend both days, cost £150 including lunch on both days.
