MASSES AND PRIVATE PRAYER

Bishop Eton will be open for private prayer on Mondays and Friday's from 2pm to 5pm
As of the 6th of July some churches in the Pastoral Area will be holding public Masses. Please note that some of these  parishes will be using a booking system ie you will not be able to just turn up at the church.  For more information visit the website of the church you are hoping to visit or vist the pastoral area website pastol.co.uk

In his message of 2nd July message click here  Fr Tim mentions the 'cautious' reopening of St Mary's Church for Private Prayer with a provisional date of week commencing 13 July, together with a plea for volunteers.

As Fr Tim also mentions, the reopening of church will only be possible if we have sufficient numbers of volunteers to ensure the health and safety of all our parishioners and visitors.
If you, or anyone you know can offer a couple of hours per week to help with stewarding and cleaning the church, please send an e-mail to with your name and telephone number and one of the Pastoral Team will get back to you. Please do not volunteer if you fall into any of the  Covid-19 'vulnerable' categories identified by the Government/Public Health Department.

Once we have established stringent safety procedures and teams of volunteers to facilitate the reopening of church for Private Prayer, then Fr Tim will consider resuming Public Masses within the coming weeks.

As Bishop Eton is already open for Private Prayer each Monday and Friday afternoon, that will continue for the coming week with a view to commencing Public Masses thereafter.

CAUTIOUSLY OPENING OUR CHURCHES

The Archdiocese has produced a leaflet and video to explain the churches you will see as we open up our churches
