MASS FOR THE 25th SUNDAY

OF ORDINARY TIME

MESSAGE FROM FR TIM SEPTEMBER 17th 2020 

 

TRAINING FOR NEW EXTRAORDINARY MINSTERS OF THE EUCHARIST:

 If you are living with a sick or housebound family member who would like to receive Holy Communion, you might want to consider becoming a Eucharistic Minister. The archdiocese is offering training sessions for new Ministers of the Eucharist and these will be run on Zoom twice in November: as evening sessions: 7.30-8.30pm, on Wednesdays 4th, 11th, and 18th November and as afternoon sessions: 1.30-2.30pm, on Tuesdays 10th, 17th, and 24th November.

RESTARTING OF MASS AT ST MARY'S 

The Mass Schedule for the forseeable future at St Mary's will be

Sundays at 11.00am
Tuesdays at 7.00pm
Thursdays at 12 noon 

You can find days and times of all 26 Masses across the Pastoral Area at: www.pastol.co.uk

Please be aware we are operating at a reduced capacity. Once we have reached capacity we will not be able to allow anymore people in. We apologise in advance if you are turned away.  

Please find below, a demonstration video about the safe return to church for Public Masses. 

 

Please note disabled people are still allowed to use the accessible entrance/exit which is shown on the video as the exit route for all. This of course will be strictly supervised by stewards.

INVITATION TO PRAYER EACH EVENING AT 7 PM

We aim to be united in prayer by inviting everyone to set aside a short period in their homes at 7pm. Say the our father and the Hail Mary and make an act of Spiritual Communion

DIAL A MASS

Please pass this information on to anyone who would appreciate this service and especially anyone without internet access.

The Diocese of Middlesborough, funded by the Knights of St Columba, have initiated a Dial-a-Mass service where you can dial a telephone number and listen to Mass. Due to the funding by Knights of St Columba, calls will be charged at LOCAL RATE and will cost about 34p per Mass, each Mass being just under an hour

All they have to do is dial: 01642 130 120 and listen whenever they wish to hear Mass.

Many families will be struggling financially during these difficult times and there is no expectation whatsoever for you to sign up to any of the myriad of options that are available. However, for those who wish to do so please click here to explore the available options.

The Whitechapel centre is currently unable to accept physical donations, however both it and the local foodbanks still have peole to help  If you can make a monetary donation please click on the organisation you would like to donate to  (all accept electronic donations)
