Well, Spring is official! I do hope I was the only one who did not change the clock.
Many thanks to those of you who have made suggestions for our Tuesday Lunch-time sessions. I am really grateful because much of the time my brain hurts.
The team will get on to following up your suggestions/requests. Please keep the ideas rolling in.
The Planned Programme - so far!
Friday 26 April 2019
After a very interesting and successful talk about the beginning of Liverpool University and their early inclusion of women in their educational programmes our speaker, Martin Strauss, has very kindly offered to give us a guided tour of the Victoria Building and gallery.
Meet at the Victoria Gallery at 10.30 which gives you the opportunity to use your seniors travel pass.
I am reliably informed that there is a very good café for lunch.
There is no charge for this event
Lunchtime Session - Tuesday 30 April 2019 - 12.30 FMH
Where There’s a Will
We are very fortunate to have Ann Forrester and Anna Salisbury to speak to us on this important topic which some of us try to avoid thinking about.
Ann Forester is a member of the Probate Team at Jackson Lees.
She will speak about
:• Why make a will?
• Lasting Power of Attorney - What are they? Why do we need them?
• What is severing a joint tenancy? Why would it be needed?
Ann promises the talk will be light and informal with a Question and Answer session.
I am reliably informed that Ann will bring along some of her delicious homemade cakes and biscuits.
Both Ann and Anna are anxious to stress that this is a community service they are offering and are not looking for new business.
Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. Payment envelopes for the Llangollen trip (see below) will be available.
